Monroe, Louisiana

Welcome to Monroe, Louisiana.  Home of the University of Louisiana at Monroe.  Go Warhawks!  Monroe is located in the North-East corner of Louisiana.  Monroe has a population around 50,000 people.  Connecting Monroe to their sister city, West Monroe, is the Endom Bridge.  Both Monroe and West Monroe are filled with art, shopping, and unique dinning experiences.  Monroe is a very family oriented place, and has lots of interesting things to do.  It would be hard to talk about everything Monroe has to offer, but below are some of our highlighted places everyone has come to love......


The Background

The University of Louisiana at Monroe, ULM, was founded in 1931.  The University's current President is Nick Bruno.  There are around 8,900 students, including undergraduate and graduate level students.  The University offers some amazing programs.  The college colors are maroon and gold.  The mascot is Ace the Warhawk.  One of the best features of attending school at ULM is the beautiful views of Bayou Desiard on campus.  The University of Louisiana at Monroe is literally the "Best on the Bayou."
